The May meeting was the 61st Birthday Party of the Women's Section. Fifty members enjoyed a meal of cold meats and salad, prepared and served by the hard-working committee. Members were entertained by the singing and story telling of Mr Chadwick from Colchester. Although unable to attend due to a fall, Mrs Diana Vick was remembered for her 90th birthday and a beautiful pot plant was taken to her. Mary Hardy was presented with a basket of flowers as a thank-you for making the attractive new table-cloths. Chairman Diane Denny reminded members that Timothy Evan from Anglia News will be speaking at the June meeting.
