A SUPERB evening of entertainment by the Dunmow Players was met with generous applause at an exceptional variety production.
Each year Dunmow Rotary Club host the free night for elderly residents and once again the local performers did not disappoint.
Dunmow Rotary Club president Ian Terry presented Dunmow Players musical director Ann Pickhaver and pianist Susan Edwards with bouquets as a thank you for their efforts.
Mr Terry said: "A full programme of song, dance, instrumental and comedy acts were heartily received.

"Also, special guest Les Nicholls received plenty of 95th birthday wishes, along with his wife Mary, as the occasion was also their 67th wedding anniversary."

New Dunmow town mayor Gwynn Davies was also honoured as a senior citizen.
The free admission and refreshments are given by the rotary club as part of the local community charity funding.
