A Christmas colouring competition organised by Dunmow Co-op for Wren’s Nursery was won by three year old Rose Witham who won a selection of Christmas treats.
The entries, all by children aged between two and four, are being displayed in the Co-op shop where they were judged by Liz Davies, owner of Dunmow’s Aubrey Art Gallery. I
Presenting the prizes, Liz said: “It is good to encourage children even at this young age to take an interest in colouring which will hopefully lead them to a greater appreciation of art.”
Sean Harvey, store manager, said: “Part of the Co-op ethos is interacting with and helping our communities which we find most enjoyable. We will be supplying most of the food and wine for the Christmas lunch at the Dunmow Day Centre where some of our staff will be actively assisting.”
