THIRTY-EIGHT people have been killed or seriously injured on Uttlesford's roads so far this year.
An awareness day held in
Saffron Walden on Saturday aimed to make sure that this number decreases next year, by promoting and educating people on road safety.
The event, which was held in King Street from 10am to 4pm, was organised by Essex County Council road safety, Essex Police and the Essex fire service.
Rose Johnson, Essex County Council road safety officer for Uttlesford, said: "No matter if we are a driver, rider, cyclist or pedestrian, we must all take responsibility to ensure we are safe on the roads.
