A WOMAN was freed from her vehicle by firefighters in the early hours of Sunday morning after a collision near to Stansted Airport.
Crews from Dunmow, Stansted and Harlow were called to Thremhall Avenue, one of the perimeter roads leading to the airport, at 1am.
After the two-car collision the woman, thought to be in her mid 20s, remained conscious but reported having back pain to paramedics.
Firefighters had to remove the roof of the vehicle she was trapped in before leaving both drivers in the care of ambulance crews.
Neither driver was reported seriously injured.
