Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run incident in Rayne which left a man with a broken back.
The man, who is in his 40s, was hit from behind while cycling along School Lane towards Felsted on Wednesday August 19 at around 12.30pm and remembers nothing of the incident.
The unknown vehicle did not stop at the scene, and the man suffered a broken back along with cuts and grazes.
He is currently receiving treatment at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for his injuries.
Anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Essex Police on 101 quoting incident 413 of August 19 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
