A COFFEE morning surpassed all its own records and raised nearly 2000 for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
Stebbing resident Jenny McGinn has been organising the annual get-together between 10am and 1pm on the same day for the last nine years.
But she was staggered to find out that after counting the profits this time around, her Macmillan Coffee Morning at Willars Farm had raised 1700.
“I am really delighted,” she said. “Thank you to all the people that turned up and gave so generously. We must have had well over 100 people there.”
