THE children of FKS School in Felsted transported their parents back to 1920's New York for a performance of Bugsy Malone.

The play proved a massive hit and parents were all delighted with the performance.

Headteacher Anne Woods said: "The children took on the characters they played extremely well and the audience enjoyed the songs, dances and of course the pie and 'splurge' gun scenes."

Pictured shows Sam Tankard and Tom Bibb, who played the parts of Fat Sam and Dandy Dan, rival gangsters in 1920's New York.
