Intrepid explorer Michael McGrath, the only disabled person to have conquered both the South and North poles, gave an inspirational talk to the pupils from years three to eight.
He told pupils about his condition, muscular dystrophy, which he has had since the age of 17, and how this has not stopped him in achieving his dreams.
He also talked about his experience of the South and North poles and engaged the pupils completely during the whole session.
