On one of the hottest days of the year, over 400 people took part during the day enjoying live music, bungee trampolines, a bouncy castle, a football game and other traditional games such as smack the rat and a huge buzz wire (where you have to pull an implement along a wire without touching it) created by landlord Andy Hyde as well as crafts, stalls - and donkeys.

The music was provided by singer Ritchie and his jazz band Twisted Soul, guitarist Pete George and the country and western singer Speedy.

Andy and Julie Hyde took over the pub just about a year ago. Julie said: “We had a fantastic day, the weather was wonderful and we made a lovely lot of money for a charity that everyone wants to help. It was such a success that we hope this will be an annual event from now on.”
