Police search for teenager wanted in connection with London riots and Braintree burglary

POLICE are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a teenager in connection with the August riots in London as well as a burglary in Braintree.

Leonard Neamu is a 13-year-old boy who has connections in east London, Birmingham and Manchester but who does move around.

The boy, who is of Romanian descent, is wanted by officers in connection with burglaries at Argos in East Ham and at SN Food & Wine on Ilford Lane in Ilford both on Monday, August 8, 2011.

He is also wanted in connection with a burglary at Mina Stores in Romford on Sunday, June 5, 2011 and a burglary at Aqua Scutum at Freeport Village on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in which three mobile telephones and small quantity of cash were stolen.

Anyone with information on Leonard Neamu’s whereabouts is urged to contact Operation Withern detectives at the Metropolitan Police Service on 020 82176648, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
