THREE Dunmow Police Community Support Officers are swimming three miles for charity.

Angi Greneski who covers the Felsted and Stebbing areas, is a local swimming teacher in her spare time and she has reeled in the help of fellow officers Emma Webb of Hatfield Heath and Glenn Braden from Great Dunmow.

The three will be taking part as part of the national 'Swimathon' on April 19 in support of the Marie Curie Cancer Fund. Mrs Greneski said: "It is such a worthy cause and we are honoured to be able to contribute in some way. We are really excited about the challenge and are looking forward to making as much money as we possibly can."

The event will be held at the Dunmow Leisure Centre at 4pm and Mrs Greneski has asked for people to come down and support them, she said: "So far we have raised £100 so we are some way off our £500 target." You can sponsor them by calling Angi, Emma or Glenn on 07779 085616. To take part yourself visit www.swimathon.org or drop into the leisure centre next to Helena Romanes School for more details.
