Police name woman killed in Chelmsford crash

Police have named the woman who died following a collision on the A1114 in Chelmsford
Sarah Wilkinson, aged 45 from School Lane, Moulton, Northwich, Cheshire was involved in a fatal crash on Sunday night at 6.26pm on the Baddow bypass near the Army and Navy roundabout.
Miss Wilkinson was driving a blue Nissan Almera, and died at the scene of the collision after colliding with a silver BMW, being driven by a 29 year old man from the Chelmsford area. He received serious leg injuries and was taken to Broomfield Hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.
Both lanes of the dual carriageway were closed while emergency services worked at the scene of the crash. The Southend-bound carriageway reopened at 8pm. The westbound carriageway remained closed until 11pm while road collision investigators carried out their initial enquiries.
