A PIRATE crew assembled at Stebbing's Patricia Pilgrim Nursery for the inaugural voyage of Pilgrim's Pride - a brand new climbing ship activity centre.
The ship was opened at the nursery by a minor celebrity - Captain Jack Sparrow look alike, Graham Pilgrim, the nursery school owner, who cut the ribbon and hoisted the Jolly Roger.
Children and staff at the nursery were dressed as pirates and enjoyed scrambling all over Pilgrim's Pride. There are a whole host of other ship-related activities that the children can undertake.
Graham Pilgrim, who is also a retired Chief Petty Officer, said, "This is certainly far more fun and exciting than the submarines I used to sail in."

The activity centre was provided following a generous contribution from a parent whose three children attended the nursery.
