Christmas shoppers descended on Great Dunmow’s town centre to enjoy a day of Dickensian-themed fun.
The festive event, now in its third year, saw the streets lined with charity stalls, performers and plenty of shops with their doors open for custom.
The day was a great opportunity for people to pick up some last minute gifts while children had the chance to go and tell Father Christmas what they were hoping for this year.
Organiser Jacky Rom said: “It was excellent. The weather was a bit iffy but apart from that we had lots of people. Some of the staff had their best day ever. It was a great atmosphere and Santa saw nearly 150 children.
She added: “We want to have a special day for the shop owners and the local charities. It was an opportunity for the community to get out and support each other.”
