CRISTIANO Ronaldo may have swapped the rain of Manchester for the sunshine of Madrid but he still comes back to England when it comes to buying his latest supercar.

The 80million football star has enlisted the help of Finchingfield car expert Jon Oakley to modify his Porsche Panamera turbo into something quite astounding.

30,000 of equipment has been added to the top model released by Porsche resulting in a 190,000 supercar capable of doing 205mph - with a 0-60mph time of 3.8 seconds.

Jon, who has been director of his own company, Oakley Design, for over four years, is now ready to go and deliver the car to Cristiano himself.

"I will be delivering it to him in mid-February," he said. "It is the first version of this model that we have completed and we are really excited by it.

"Our modifications are not just to make the car look good, they give it increased performance in terms of power, weight and control. We use a wind tunnel to make sure everything is perfect.

"Cristiano approached us through our agents in Madrid who also rent cars to many of the footballers. He gave us 50 per cent of the fee upfront and we produced the exact car he wanted. We finished it about a month and a half ago"

Only ten cars of this model will be built in the world but it is not the only project Oakley Design is working on.

Jon added: "After we have delivered the Porsche we start work on a brand new Ferrari 458 which is also being sent to the footballers in Madrid. All the projects are very personalised and individual so the customer gets what they want.

"Cristiano will like this car because he has a Lamborghini at the moment and they are a lot louder. This is quieter, more understated and has plenty of room but our modifications mean that he gets all that AND gets more power."

Jon, aged 35, has a long history with car design and racing and is a test driver for Italian designers Ascari - this experience helps him to design the cars to a very spec.

His past projects include updating a 997 GT2 Porsche so it could be used as a police car for a forthcoming speed awareness campaign.
