Lessons in glamour were not needed at the Helena Romanes Sixth Form Ball as students and staff were dressed to impress for the special occasion.

The event, held at Maiden’s Barn, was attended by more than 100 people. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal and plenty of dancing.

Awards also took place on the evening, which included The Best Dressed Students, voted for by the staff, and which was won by Laura Baxter and Stuart Stanley.

Each year the students help organise the event by fundraising a significant amount during the year to help reduce the cost. The planning of the event is a significant effort on top of A Level studies.

Harriet Casey and Ruby Featherstone, Year 13 students, were part of the ball organising committee.

Harriet said: “Everyone thought it was such a great night and a really good way to end our studies. There was a brilliant atmosphere as the students and teachers could relax together. “

Ruby added: “Many thanks to the Maidens Barn staff – the venue, food and service was excellent!”
