Welcome to January's Pets' Corner, the place for reader picture of their pets or animals generally.

Thank you to our readers for sharing them with us! Do you think your picture of a pet is cuter?

If you’d like to get involved for next month, send us your pet photos, your name, your pet’s name, and a few sentences about what makes them special to you.

You can see more pet related articles and previous pet galleries here on our website - click the Pets Corner tag under the article.

Here’s what our contributors say about their pets:

Skye and Georgie

Angela's Maine Coon cats are Skye and Georgie.

She said: "They like to sleep a lot."

Judging by these pictures, as the cats have grown it would seem their preferred spot is still just the right size, honest!

Olive

Karen's dog Olive is nine years old, a drama queen, and loves a tummy tickle!

Karen added: "Olive was the inspiration behind my new company ‘Olive and Olive’ which I launched during lockdown following my passion for beautiful artefacts for the home."

The company is based in Newport. See https://www.oliveandolive.co.uk/
