Pedestrian who died from serious head injuries after being struck by a car in Essex village is named

A PEDESTRIAN who was hit by a car in Sheering and died from his injuries has been named.

Pawel Jablonski, 27, of Bishop’s Stortford, died following a collision with a silver Ford Focus. The incident happened in The Street, shortly before 7.15am on Thursday (October 7).

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and was transferred to the Royal London Hospital with serious head injuries. He was certified dead at the hospital on Friday morning.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Chigwell Road Policing unit on 0300 333 4444.
