The council is looking for artists to help councillors design the new village sign. Rodney Dodkins, chairman of LDPC, said: "We were given planning permission to put up a new sign in November last year and now we are looking for people from the village to come up with some ideas for what they want to see included in the designs." The council would like to hear from residents who either have ideas for inclusion in the sign, or people who can come up with a design for the whole thing. "We are eager for people to be included in the project. We also want to hear from any artists who would like to make the sign," he added. Submissions must be received by Saturday March 10, and should be sent to: Little Dunmow Parish Council c/o Westacre, Grange Lane, Little Dunmow, CM6 3HY.
