FOUR people were hospitalised following a car crash in North End on Sunday (Dec 4) evening.
Three men and a woman were taken to Broomfield Hospital following the two car collision. The woman received a chest injury. Two of the men also received chest injuries and the other man involved was treated for a neck and back injury.
Fire crews from Dunmow and Leaden Roding were called to the scene between Ford End and Barnston where they freed a man from his car by around 9.45pm after using hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof. The driver of the other vehicle had escaped her car before crews arrived.
Qualified student ambulance paramedic Chris Cooper, who attended the scene said: “I wish to pass on my sincere thanks to the fire fighters who assisted our crews treating and stabilising all four casualties, their help was very much appreciated.”
