A Dunmow primary school has two royal pupils.
Alice Deeks, nine, and Katie Salmon, 11, who both attend St Mary’s in High Stile, were chosen Dunmow carnival court princesses on Friday evening.
They will be joined by Yasmen Mazumder-Graham, 20, who is the 2014 carnival queen. The Anglian Ruskin University sociology student also works at One Stop in the town.
The three, who all live in Dunmow, will be representing the town at the first carnival of the season in Braintree on June 7 and then visit other Essex towns throughout the summer culminating in Dunmow’s parade on September 20 with its theme of ‘Films’.
