THOUSANDS of visitors flocked to Great Dunmow on Saturday for what was arguably one of the town's greatest carnival experiences.
A record 75 floats took part in the procession, parading through the town to the Recreation Ground where visitors then browsed the many stalls, took refreshment at the beer tent, watched a wide range of arena events and enjoyed the amusement fair.
In the evening an open-air concert - including tributes to The Beatles and Tom Jones - delighted onlookers. The festivities were concluded with a fantastic firework finale.
