PARISHIONERS in Takeley and Little Canfield have a new Curate.

The Rev Teresa Wynne, 48, was ordained at Chelmsford Cathedral on Sunday, July 1 and has moved to Takeley with her husband Martin.

She said: "I'm really looking forward to my time here. I've moved from Loughton and it's very rural here. It's completely different to what we are used to but everyone has been very friendly and really made us welcome."

On Sunday parishioners held a welcome lunch for her in Little Canfield.

Before being ordained, Rev Wynne was deputy head teacher at Theydon Bois Primary School and she hopes to continue to work with youngsters.

If anyone wants to contact Rev Wynne, they can do so by telephoning her on 01279 870376.
