A friendly robin brought his bride to nest at the entrance to Mountfitchet Castle, in Stansted Mountfitchet. Now the tourist attraction is asking for help in naming the baby birds.

Over the winter, and during renovations. the bird kept workmen company in the attraction’s visitor centre. He became so tame that he was almost eating out of their hands.

Jeremy Goldsmith of the castle said: It was soon noticed that something was happening on a high ledge in the corner of the entrance lobby and we found a nest. We bought a nesting box and the robins have produced, four scrumptious little baby robins.”

Suggestions for names for the babies would be welcomed and can be sent in to info@mountfitchetcastle.com.
