Two mutilated dead rabbits were discovered on two separate vehicles on the same day in Hatfield Heath last week.

The animals were both found on vehicles at Cox Ley in the village on January 5.

One rabbit was found on the windscreen of a white BMW X5 and police said the animal appeared to have been chopped up.

The second animal was discovered on a grey Land Rover Discovery and had been wrapped around the driver’s side wing mirror with its leg cut off.

The leg of the rabbit was placed on the passenger side front door handle.

Any information about these incidents can be reported to police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
