Essex Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed in Chelmsford.
Police were called to Cromar Way just before 1am this morning, Friday, July 22.
A man in his 40s was found severely injured at the scene. He was pronounced dead at hospital just after 2am.
Three men, aged 40, 53, and 59, and a 53-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The 53-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.
An alleyway near Meteor Way has been closed as part of a police investigation and may impact pedestrians in the area or those attending Essex County Cricket Club.
