Two men have been charged in connection with the armed bank robbery in Dunmow this summer, and also with armed robberies across London and five counties.

The charge is for an intent to endanger life, and with possession of a shotgun, a firearm, and ammunition.

Nicholas Wordsworth, 43, of Fiona Court, Enfield, and Mustafa Murteza, 48, of Tollington Road, North London were charged on Sunday, November 20 after their arrest in Bedfordshire.

Security guards were robbed at the HSBC in Dunmow High Street on Thursday, June 23.

On October 20, a Halifax in Witham was also targeted in a robbery, and the police were also investigating robberies in North London, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Kent.

The two men will go to trial at Kingston Crown Court on December 16.
