DUNMOW Majorettes received a trophy on Friday for best walking group, which they won during the procession at last month's Bishop's Stortford Carnival.
The group were presented with their prize by the mayor of Great Dunmow, Cllr Frank
Silver, left, and the mayor of Bishop's Stortford, Cllr Ken Armstrong, right, at Helena Romanes School.
Helper Betty Baker said: "It was lovely to win, but the club is more about having fun and making friends.
"We don't enter competitions, but we do train hard to entertain people at fetes and carnivals, and we even perform at old people's homes free of charge.
"It is always nice to see new faces and we would love to see any girls and boys who would like to join at our next meeting."
The group meet in the gym at Helena Romanes between 5.30pm and 7.30pm every Friday night.
