On Sunday councillors, Dunmow Society members and residents gathered together to take part in a litter pick. David Beedle said: "What a lovely day we had following on from the good weather for the continental market. On Sunday morning we assembled in Foakes Hall car park. We concentrated on the footpaths that link from out of the town centre to the new estates. We are always amazed at how much we find, from child car seats to many fast food containers." The group collected 15 dustbin bags - this was only from targeted areas - and the group said they hoped this would encourage the residents who saw them to continue the good work.
