The village of Finchingfield is a quiet and picturesque place for most of the year, but for one day each summer it plays host to an hysterical – and very wet – three-legged race.
This year, teams including Where’s Wally, members of the Spice Girls, and the 118 duo turned out for the 154th event.
Held on September 9, the day also saw plenty of food, drink, music and entertainment on offer, and even a 100-strong duck race.
For the main event, other competitors included members of the Ghostbusters, a pair dressed in onesies, and a whoopee cushion taking to the green and plunging into the pond.
Youngsters also got involved, tying their legs together in a bid to work together and cross the finish line first.
The day saw hundreds of people lined the pond to watch the drama unfold, and money collected for FINCHE youth activities.
This will go towards building an all-weather sports pitch.
