All lanes on the M11 have been re-opened following an earlier accident involving two vehicles between junction 7 (near Harlow) and junction 6.

However, one hour ago Essex Travel News warned on Twitter that queing traffic remains back towards junction 8, near Stansted.

Two lanes had closed on the M11 after a traffic collision shortly before 8am this morning (December 18) on the southbound carriageway of the M11, between junction 7 for the A414 Canes Lane/Harlow and junction 6.

Following the collision, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service arrived at the scene to deal with a vehicle fire.

Around 9am the fire service tweeted that they had finished at the scene and were preparing to leave.

The tweet read: “Firefighters have now finished at the scene and are preparing to leave. Thank you for everyone’s patience while we safely dealt with this incident.”
