Investigation begins into suspicious blaze

PUBLISHED: 10:19 26 July 2012

A JOINT investigation between Essex Police and the Fire Service has been launched today following a suspicious shed fire.

Five fire crews were called to Cowels Farm Lane in Lindsell, near Dunmow, at 9.45pm on Wednesday.

On arrival the crews found there was a large shed on fire.

Two appliances were first sent to the scene but more crews were sent for because of the remote location and fears of a shortage of water.

The blaze was extinguished by 8.48pm and an investigation is set to begin.
