On Wednesday April 4, the Inner Wheel Club of Dunmow met at the home of secretary Pam Fox for a business meeting and to enjoy a Faith Supper. President Brenda and all the members were delighted to have Sally Amott, Jackie Rogers and Wendy Chalkien join them for the occasion. Secretary Pam reported the success of the charity lunch held on the March 17. More than £700 was raised to go to local charities. President Brenda said more teams had agreed to take part in the Inner Wheel Club Quiz on April 27, but two or three more teams would be welcome. Just call her on 01371 870335 for further details. Vice president Olga Burrell gave details of the coach trip she is arranging to Finchcocks musical museum in Kent on June 10. There will be a special recital during the morning. There are seats available on the coach and anyone interested should ring Olga on 01371 872062. Fran Woodrow reported on the Rotary Rosebowl Quiz. Fran, along with the rest of the Inner Wheel team had enjoyed the challenge of finding the right answers. A list of names of those interested in the weekend trip to the Stamford area from April 4 to 6, 2008 was circulated. The date of this April meeting coincided with Olga's 70th birthday, and the meeting culminated with Olga receiving a birthday cake provided by Brenda, with the club singing 'Happy Birthday to You'.
