The July meeting of the Inner Wheel Club of Dunmow saw Immediate past president June Milne thank the club once again for all their help in her presidential year before returning the chair to President Brenda Smith.

Brenda gave a special welcome to Mary Hopkins before starting the business meeting when she reminded members of the coffee morning on August 9 at Pam Fox's home.

June Milne told of the Strawberry Tea at Croft Court supported by Inner Wheel. A total of 28 residents and friends enjoyed the event.

Connie Bryant reported on the trip to Leigh-on-Sea and Southend organised by Brenda as a special event to mark the start of her year. The party enjoyed a talk with slides at the Heritage Centre showing the town as it was and is now, before strolling along the front.

A delicious lunch of fish and chips at the Arches along Westcliff Promenade was much appreciated, and afterwards June was able to enjoy a paddle! Connie concluded by thanking Brenda for such an enjoyable outing.
