Aubrey Barker of Hopleys Garden and Nursery, Much Hadham, gave a lecture entitled 'Lovely and Smelly'. Aubrey brought along many samples from his garden for members to smell: shrubs with scented flowers, others with aromatic leaves, fragrant flowers, bulbs and climbers. Together with slides members were given many examples and ideas of how to add a pleasant aroma to their gardens all year round. The next meeting will be on Wednesday April 25, with a talk by Roger and Sylvia Jiggins on Essex Wildlife.
