The two-day event, The Twisted Ring, is being co-ordinated by High Roding’s Fete Committee on October 27 and 28. As well as a barbecue and bar, there will be games including ‘The Franken-throw’ where bean bags must be hurled through a monster’s eyeballs, an electric chair with a chilling sensation, a guillotine, smoke machines and haunted houses.

There will also be a miniature steam train, leaving from platform 13.

Families are encouraged to arrive in fancy dress. Tickets are £10 for one adult and two children. In exchange, the youngsters will receive “deadman’s dollars” to buy turns on the games and stalls. There will be prize tokens to exchange for sweets or toys at the prize shop.

Raising money for First Moreton and Fyfield Scouts and other community causes. Friday: 6pm-9pm Saturday: 4pm-9pm.
