St Clare Hospice will benefit from a cash boost of £1,660 thanks to the fundraising efforts of a physiotherapy centre in Hatfield Broad Oak.

Holisticare raised the money after taking on the £50 Challenge from April to June, using just that amount to try and collect as many donations as possible.

The company, which recently won a prize at the Uttlesford Business Awards, held a raffle, quiz night and even an art competition in its bid to raise funds.

The competition saw entrants decorate a paper hand template to represent the hospice’s motto, hand in hand we care.

Nikki Robinson, owner, said: “We share many of the values of the hospice and both St Clare and Holisticare provide fantastic, compassionate care and support for our patients.

“This is the third time we have participated in the challenge and we were delighted with the amount we raised this time - it takes our total to more than £6,000.

“Our staff worked very hard organising the events and we’d all like to thank everyone who joined in all our events this year.”
