DESPITE an appeal in The Reporter in December, Girl Guides in Great Chesterford are still unable to meet because they do not have a leader.

Jane Ingham, former leader of the Guides, had to step down after 11 years' involvement due to family commitments.

She said that the Guides are very disappointed with the lack of response to calls for a new leader.

Mrs Ingham said: "The girls and the two helpers all want to carry on very much, but to do that they need someone who can give some time to step in."

Leading the Guides is a very rewarding post which provides a great deal of satisfaction and the opportunity to have a lot of fun.

As well as running the fortnightly meetings, the leader would be able to go on trips and take part in numerous activities.

Holding the post will also make you more attractive to employers, who will recognise the responsibility and leadership skills that the position demonstrates.

Anyone interested in finding out more information on the post should contact Jane Ingham on 01799 530896.
