Holding a Blooming Great Tea Party could help to raise thousands of pounds for a Blooming Great Charity.

Marie Curie, the charity which helps people with a terminal illness, is asking all of us to link arms and raise tea-cups between June 20 and 29 to raise funds for their work.

Last year, across the UK, The Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie raised £667,000, which would pay for 33,350 hours of nursing care.

Marie Curie employs more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals. It is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS, with nine hospices around the UK. Rose Tyler, Essex Community Fundraiser, said: “Holding your own Blooming Great Tea Party is really easy to do. Whether you hold it at home, at work or somewhere locally, it’s a fun way to get together with friends.
