OVERNIGHT Great Dunmow seems to have avoided any disruption from the storms that are currently lashing the south of England and Wales.

Rain continues to fall pushed around by a moderate breeze.

The storms are expected to peak around midday today with winds in some area of the south reaching as high as 80mph which could down power lines or telephones.

Passengers using Stansted Airport are being advised to check in early as delays have hit airports nationally.
