GEOGRAPHY came to life for Dunmow students as they took a trip to the Isle of Arran.
The 14 A-level students from The Helena Romanes School took the four-day trip to prepare themselves for their geography exams.
Headteacher Simon Knight and Richard Smith, director of learning for Year 9, joined the students as they took part in a range of activities to boost their knowledge and experience of the subject.
Mr Knight said: “This is the fifth year the school has taken students on this trip. It brings to life the lessons they are learning in the classroom.
“The students took part in three days of organised activities, including completing a river profile, looking at the beach and longshore drift and looking at settlements.
“They will complete follow-up work once back in the classroom before sitting an exam in these topics next summer.”
