The Committee of the Friends have thanked everyone who has helped them to raise funds for the Clinic over the last few years. The Friends of the Clinic is holding its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday September 26 in the Downs Room, Foakes Hall at 8pm and would welcome anyone who wishes to help in any way.

They are also planning a coffee morning in the Dunmow Clinic in New Street on Wednesday October 18 from 10am until noon and would welcome everyone to join them to discuss what they have achieved for the clinic. People who go along will be able to see outside the Clinic the teak bench, which was recently unveiled in memory of Cllr Douglas James, the first Mayor of Dunmow, by his widow Cllr Mrs Carol James. One familiar event for the friends now is the highly successful musical quiz to be held in February of 2007 - more details later this year. Anyone wanting to contact the friends should call secretary, Wendy Barron on 01371 859803.
