This year’s Flower Festival at Tilty church was a blooming success – with the two-day event raising £1,250.
Visitors were treated to an amazing array of colour when they stepped inside the building over the weekend. This year’s festival saw a greater emphasis on flowers and on display were 25 arrangements plus porch arrangements which commemorated the years at war.
The church was packed on Sunday morning for the service led by priest-in-charge Canon Ivy Crawford. Teas and cakes were available and other delicacies on sale in the church grounds. Visitors could also delve into the church’s past as a historical was on display.
The money raised will go to Tilty church funds for its roof repairs.
The Five Parishes Harvest Festival service is on Sunday, October 19 at 11am at Little Easton church following the Harvest Supper on Saturday, October 18.
