Fireworks at Felsted Primary School went down a blast last weekend at the annual bonfire night display.

More than 2,000 people enjoy the show each year, and the whole event costs around £3,800 to run – any extra money raised is put back into the school.

Headteacher Lawrence Garside said: “It was a fantastic evening considering there was no water in Felsted first thing on Friday morning, and at one point I thought we were going to have to cancel it.

“Luckily the event went ahead and I was delighted to see many ex pupils and their families come along . The Parent, Teacher, and Friends Association worked exceptionally hard and deserve the result they achieved.”

Persimmon Homes, Taylor Wimpey, CPR Construction ,Warburtons and Flitch Green Co-op all sponsored the event.

Michael O’Leary, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East London, says: “It’s fantastic to see local people working together to put on a fun-filled evening for everyone to enjoy and we are so pleased to have played a part in making it happen.”
