FIREFIGHTERS had a busy night as they were called out to two car crashes on New Year's Eve.
The first was a two car crash on London Road in Sawston which resulted in one person having to be cut free from the wreckage by fire crews from Sawston and Cambridge at 5.14pm.
The second involved a single car which crashed into a ditch on the Cambridge Road at Linton just past the BP petrol station.
One person was trapped and had to be cut free by the fire crews following the accident at 7.20pm.
