SEVEN fire crews have spent all morning tacking a blaze which has engulfed a building full of waste materials in flames.
Firefighters were called to the Mid Essex Gravel Pit, which is located in Essex Regiment Way in Little Waltham, shortly before 5.15am.
On arrival they found a “large building” to be 100per cent alight.
Crews from Chelmsford, Great Baddow, Basildon, Great Dunmow and Witham were at the scene until 8.15am when the fire was brought under control. A two pump relief is still at the scene.
More to follow.
