FIRE crews were called to converted barn on October 24 after it caught alight.

The property on Rands Road, High Roding in Dunmow was reported as “well alight” after crews had been working for nearly an hour.

Firefighters received the call at 11.55pm and it took until 3.16am for the blaze to be brought under control. Two hoses and two main jets were used to extinguish the flames.

The majority of the crews left at 6.55am leaving one appliance to check the property for remaining hotspots using thermal imaging cameras.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but is currently unknown to the police and fire services.
