Finchingfield GP Practice has received visors made by school staff, to help protect them against Covid-19.
The technology department at Saffron Walden County High School has made around 400 visors for GP surgeries, care providers and key workers in the community.
They have also produced re-usable fabric headbands that can be worn under the visor for additional comfort, with more on the way.
Teacher Lauren Smith said: “The contributions from staff across the school who have helped with the assembly, organisation, communication and distribution of the visors has been humbling, as have the donations from members of the local community to support the cost of materials, and the offer of support in assembling the visors, and helping with deliveries.”
The visors have also gone to a number of places including Fulbourn Hospital and the NHS Community Trust both in Cambridge, and various places in Saffron Walden including Manor Court Care, Stanley Wilson Lodge, Crocus Community Care, and the Royal Mail.
