Fight is on to rescue dog tangled in branches at river side

FIREFIGHTERS are battling to rescue a dog which has become trapped in tree roots at the a river’s edge.

One crew from Dunmow and an animal rescue unit from South Woodham Ferrers were called to the incident near Fitch Green Primary School, on Tonton Road, Little Dunmow, at around 9.45am this morning (December 27).

The Labrador is being reassured by members of the public as crews work to untangle it.
